Florence
Florence is world-famous for its artistic treasures. Think of the magnificent Uffizi museum, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Duomo. The stunning town hall, Palazzo Vecchio, was the residence of the famous Medici family. The building with its tower is situated on the beautiful Piazza della Signoria, one of the most famous squares in Italy. The civil wedding ceremony is performed in the Sala Rossa (Red Room), once the bedroom of Cosimo de' Medici. This room takes its name from its red furniture, red carpets, and other red decorations from the Renaissance period.
Lucca
Lucca is known, among other things, for its wide city walls that are still completely intact. Within these walls lies the historic city center, including the town hall Palazzo Orsetti.
It was built in the 16th century on the foundations of a medieval structure. The building has a Renaissance style: the entrance features a beautiful stone arch, the walls are painted with frescoes, and a lovely staircase leads to the wedding hall.
The civil wedding ceremony is performed in the "Sala Verde" (the Green Room). The ceiling is painted with frescoes and the walls are lined with silk fabrics and soft green wallpaper, creating a refined and luxurious ambiance.
In Lucca it is also possible to hold the civil wedding ceremony in five historic villas located outside the city center.
Arezzo
Arezzo too is home to many artistic treasures. You may remember the film "La Vita è Bella" (Life is Beautiful) by Roberto Benigni. This film won three Oscars and was largely filmed in Arezzo. Several scenes were shot in particular on the Piazza Grande. The impressive town hall is located on the Piazza della Libertà, next to the famous Duomo. The wedding room is on the first floor and features a classic style with wooden furniture and antique paintings.
Siena
In Siena, the civil wedding ceremony is performed in the "Sala del Concistoro" in the Palazzo Pubblico, an impressive Gothic building situated on the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful medieval squares in Italy. The square is shell-shaped and every year the famous horse race "Palio" is held here. This square is also the perfect location for wedding photos. The elegant building has served as Siena's town hall since the 12th century. The building also houses the Civic Museum with magnificent art collections. The walls of the corridors are painted with frescoes from the Renaissance period.
